Me and my future wife.	I came to Puerto Rico with a J1 scholarship to work as a Post-Doctorate in the laboratory of Professor W. Owen McMillan. I arrived to the “Isla del Encanto” in November 2004.	I am from Italy, a country that is famous for food and good style of living. I grow up in Rome one of the most beautiful city I have ever visited so far in my life.
	From my point of view Puerto Rico is a really nice place where to live. Considering that you are on a island in the middle of the Caribbean sea where beaches are beautiful, is easy to find this place really enjoyable. 	My work is focus on the evolutionary genomics of mimicry of the Neutropical butterfly Heliconius earto. More precisely I am targeting the main color pattern genes that are involved in the evolution of this butterfly using several molecular techniques now available as AFLP, BAC library, EST project.
