A. From Nov’ 2006 to February’ 2007:

I have participated in a research training program as a “Short Term Scholar” in the Biotechnology & Nitrogen Fixation (BNF) Laboratory, Department of Agronomy, University of Puerto Rico  Mayaguez, USA. Basically, I have learned from here about some microbiological aspects with quality assurance activity in legume trees/plants growing on different agro forestry system.

B. From’ January, 2003 to October ’ 2006:

a. I engaged myself as an associate Investigator of the reseach program “ Establishment of Soil Museum in BINA Laboratory: Which includes the detailed Soil Survey of the representative Soil Series of Bangladesh. Collection the soil samples from the different depths of the soil profile, analysis and interpretation of the result.

b. I have conducted a series of Field Research Experiments in different Agro Ecological Zones of Bangladesh on “Quantification of Biological Nitrogen Fixation by different legumes and their residual effect on succeeding rice and soil.”

c. I engaged myself for Laboratory analyses of the different plant and soil samples (Details of soil physical and chemical parameters and different nutrient elements in the plant samples).

d. I have studied in the Microbiological aspects both in Laboratory and in the experimental fields.

C. From October  to December’ 2002:

IAEA Research Fellow: I have successfully completed the  IAEA Research Fellowship training program on “ Study the effects of crop residue application on soil organic matter dynamics” in the laboratory of Soil Biology and Soil Fertility, University of Leuven, Belgium, during 01st October to 20th  December’ 2002.

D. From June’ 1992 – September’ 2002:

  1. CIDA aided research program(1992–1994): Engaged myself as an associated investigator of the CIDA aided research project titled, “ Potassium studies in Bangladesh soil”. In  this project I have conducted the  followings:

i)                    Soil profile Study: Throughout the Bangladesh, we have studied the some Soil Series (With importance of K-bearing minerals), collected the soil samples from different layer of importance, performed the in-situ and laboratory analysis of the collected samples.

ii)                  Mineralogical study of the different soil fractions sand, silt and clay. With the help of X-ray Diffractometer.

  1. FAO/IAEA Coordinated program( 1994-1998) : Engaged myself as an research investigator of the FAO/IAEA Coordinated Research project No. BGD/8040 titled, “Isotope aided studies on  nitrate movement in irrigated wheat  during 1994 – 1998.

  1. FAO/IAEA Coordinated Research program(1996-2000) : I engaged myself as an associate investigator of the FAO/IAEA Coordinated Research project No. BGD/8895 titled, “ The Use of Isotope Technique on the Management of Soil organic Matter and Nutrient Turnover for Increased,  Sustainable Agriculture Production and Environmental Preservation” during 1996-2000.

  1. BAAS Award Received: Received the “BAAS Award” from the Honorable President of the Republic of Bangladesh for best scientific paper presentation in section – 1 ( below 35 years age group) during 1998.

  1. Bio-fertilizer program(2000 – 2001):  I have conducted several field experiments and field demonstrations at BINA Sub-station Magura, to investigate the bio-fertilizer

(Rhizobium inoculum) effects on different legume crops (Lentil, Soybean, Mung bean, Ground nut and Cow pea) and soil during 2000 - 2001.
